The production process of wind power tower is relatively simple in the industrial chain, and the entry threshold is low, but the tower has a prominent feature that the scale effect is more obvious, which is related to its cost.
Wind power tower mainly comes from raw materials and freight, of which the higher cost of steel, manufacturers generally adopt the cost-plus pricing model to achieve risk transfer, in addition to offshore wind power terminal resources and onshore wind power capacity distribution is also the core competitiveness of tower manufacturers.
This is also the reason why downstream customers tend to choose suppliers with large production scale and stable capacity.
At present, the large-scale fan is the general trend, corresponding to the tower height increase, and the tower weight increase is far greater than the height increase, which improves the technical barriers of the tower, and lightweight for enterprises to open the cost-down space.
At present, technical solutions for high towers (more than 100m) include flexible steel towers (flexible towers), concrete towers (mixed towers), truss structure towers, etc.
